You should see the idiots around here (who I assume many to be natives of the area). Walmart is CLOSEd, and has been converted into a shelter, the college and elementary schools are all closed. It is madness.

No, they closed down the dorms at the college, and the schools, on WEDNESDAY. My apartment complex is flooded with weed smoking, beer guzzling, college educated idiots.

I am going to die of bordom. I can't leave the house because of Rita, but it's not even raining or anything. It's expected to hit around 3 a.m. and all day tommorrow and to make things worse I'm stuck at a friend's house with nothing to do besides internet. It's really freaky seeing Houston empty aswell. I went for a walk and not a single car or anything, it's like a ghost town... err city.

No way! I almost went to Dallas, but after seeing those huge car pile-ups and the 24 hours it was taking people to get there, I figured it would be safer just to stay home then get stuck out on a freeway. I'm a little worried but not that much. I'm pretty confident I live far enough away to avoid most of damage. I still haven't seen anything that bad outside, but I guess it's still a little too early to tell.

I'll try, I just don't really know what to do. Is the only thing you really can do is just wait for it to come and past? Rita just popped out of nowhere.
